The foundation of SDG Private Client begins not in a showroom, but at the diamond wheel—where the discipline, precision, and skill of the craft are born. Nearly two decades ago, Tal Sherit entered the diamond industry through traditional apprenticeship, learning the art of cutting diamonds by hand. From the methodical rhythm of the polishing bench to the dynamic world of international diamond trading, he earned a reputation defined by integrity, technical mastery, and enduring relationships across the global supply chain.

In 2018, we formally launched the Sherit Diamond Group—an evolution that combined Tal’s decades natural diamond dealing and procurement expertise with my growing vision and interest for technology driven solutions and private client jewelry.

My own journey began in a compact 700-square-foot factory in the heart of Ramat Gan’s diamond district. With no formal training, I immersed myself in every phase of the process: CAD design, understanding casting, studying setting techniques, and learning how to translate abstract ideas into physical pieces. Each client project became a case study in precision and problem-solving. Over time, I designed for a diverse range of clients—from international retailers and direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms to private jewelers seeking one-of-a-kind solutions.

After two intensive years in Israel, I returned to the U.S. with sharpened technical skills and a clear creative direction. In 2021, I launched SDG Private Client in Miami to meet the growing demand for bespoke pieces rooted in both craftsmanship and transparency. The studio was designed to serve a discerning clientele looking for more than off-the-shelf luxury—clients who value intentional design, premium materials, and a personalized process from start to finish.

Over the past eight years, I’ve come to understand that jewelry—especially engagement rings, fine jewelry, and high jewelry—isn’t just decorative. It’s often the most significant and emotionally charged purchase someone will make for another person. That’s exactly why I’ve focused so much of my time and energy on custom work.

There’s something irreplaceable about recreating a lost heirloom, or crafting a piece that is genuinely one-of-one—designed from the ground up, with no templates or mass-produced shortcuts. I believe this level of care and originality should be accessible to anyone making such a meaningful investment, regardless of whether the final price tag reads $5,000 or $500,000.
